Area

The physical space occupied by an object extended in two perpendicular spatial dimensions.

We can measure area using a 1-dimensional “slat” (R⋅𝜄), multiplied by the journey it takes (πR) across a series of unlimited steps (𝛶). For a circle: R⋅𝜄 × πR × 𝛶
= πR ² × (𝜄 × 𝛶)
= πR ² × 1
= πR ²
(Note: average point path on a rotating radius is πR)
